Moving Saw Head Saws

HE&M Saw manufactures a variety of plate saws under two series types; the PS Series and the PM Series. The PS series includes several models with varying capacities and features. The PS series is designed to have the saw head traverse through the material. This has the advantage of taking up less space because the table is stationary. With standard features like the Cut Watcher®, Laser Light System, precision control of the head with the Electronic Controlled Traverse (ECT) to ensure efficient cutting rates and blade change is made easier with the swing-out arm.

Moving Material Saws

HE&M Saw manufactures a variety of plate saws under two series types; the PS Series and the PM Series. The PM series includes several models with varying capacities and features. The PM series is designed to have the table move and the material traverse through the fixed head. This is an advantage when cutting some materials due to the rigidity of the stationary arm. With standard features like the Cut Watcher®, Laser Light System, precision control of the head with the Electronic Controlled Traverse (ECT) for the table to ensure efficient cutting rates.

Continuous Moving Material Saws

These saws are used primarily for specialty sawing applications such as splitting I-Beams into “T” structural shapes or splitting other structural shapes such as tubing. The material advances on a powered roller table and traverses through the blade. The material is guided with a Top Clamp Roller to keep it engaged with the powered roller system as it advances forward and a horizontal “Squaring Station” with vertical alignment rollers to control side-to-side movement and square it with the datum line. Options like a powered chip conveyor and added material handling make the sawing job easier and more efficient.

Crosscut Saws

These specialty plate saws are used primarily for special plate or block sawing applications. If you need to strip sections of plate both in length and across the width these saws will do it. The process is commonly called “Slice and Dice”. The saw arm is computer-controlled for precise chip removal rates, making cutting efficient and maximizing blade life. When the cross-cut is required the guides are switched to “right angle guides” and the arm is able to cut perpendicular to the table. The patented Cut Watcher® is a standard feature to monitor the straightness of the cuts.
